Lewis Wherrell (Exprit/TM) and Elliot Kaczynski (Tony Kart/Vortex) fought it out on the front row of the OK-Junior Final of the second round of the WSK Super Master Series in sunny Franciacorta. Wherrell was leading ahead of Iacopo Martinese (KR/Iame), Niklas Schaufler (KR/Iame) and Christian Costoya (Parolin/TM), while Kaczynski crashed out in last place. Costoya quickly moved up to 2nd behind Wherrell, while Thibaut Ramaekers (KR/Iame) returned to the top five on the heels of Filippo Sala (Sodi/TM). Stepan Antonov (KR/Iame) made a good comeback in 5th position, Jack Illife (Parolin/TM) set a fastest time in 8th position. Wherrell resisted an attack by Costoya against a group of enraged drivers led by Antonov. A three-way battle started with three laps to go as Sala moved up to join the fight. Wherrell used all his experience to control his rivals and turned around frequently. Schaufler won a crazy last lap, but received a 5″ penalty for bad manoeuvre and ended up 14th. Antonov took the victory ahead of Wherrell, then Dries van Langendonck (Energy/TM). Sala was placed fourth ahead of Salim Hanna Hernandez (LN/Vortex). Zac Drummond (Parolin/TM) had moved up from 15th to 6th, but a penalty sent him back to his starting position. Louis Cochet (Sodi/TM) finished 18th with 11 places gained.
